Siemens – Patient privacy protection

Imaging procedures in the healthcare sector use a special file format with considerably extended meta information. In order to be able to work with this data outside of the treating clinic, it must be anonymized to a variable extent depending on the usage scenario. Possible scenarios range from use in marketing to error analysis of imaging devices.

The different use cases were checked repeatedly in different phases of the project. Including alignment with the client's specifications and user tests of wireframes, designs and prototypes.

As there is a large number of very different potential users for the software, such as individual practices, clinics or manufacturers of CT devices, it was advisable to consider this spectrum in the design phase by using personas. Several use cases were subsequently assigned to each persona so that the entire spectrum of use could be mapped.

After a series of rule rounds, the design was ready to be implemented. Since the client also asked for additional support in the frontend development of the product, instead of a specification a prototype using HTML, JS and SCSS as well as all needed assets were made available to the customer for convertion into a react-application.
